The kindergarten day nursery was set up by Renate Pickford and Nancy Tiller in 1990. Their aim was to provide affordable good quality childcare in an area that had no provision for working parents. Macclesfield, a rapidly expanding town in the north west was the ideal environment, with little provision but a growing housing market and increasing job opportunities.Its close proximity to the motorway network and the city of Manchester was also a guiding factor with regard to location.

With Renates experience in child health as a health visitor for the local health authority and Nancy's business expertise a partnership was formed and the Kindergarten 1 opened with huge success on 3rd march 1990.

The Kindergarten 1 has been very successful with constant full occupancy achieved over the last 12 years, so in 2002 the partners decided to expand the business. Kindergarten 2 opened on 1st of april 2003.

Every child's care and development is very important to us. It is our aim to provide suitable and attractive surroundings to enable your child to develop to the best of their ability. We offer a caring and secure environment, using stimulating and innovative equipment to encourage individuality and self confidence through play and learning.

The website will allow you to view both our settings. Each offers childcare to suit you and your child's needs. Kindergarten 1 offers fulltime and sessional care at Hurdsfield near Astra Zeneca. Kindergarten 2 offers total flexibility in a rural setting and gives parents the choice of hourly care as well as fulltime and part-time childcare.
